We are very proud to have been selected to
receive a traveling exhibit from Smithsonian Institution -
KEY INGREDIENTS - America by Food.
This exhibit will began on August 28, 2004 and continued through September
26, 2004.
The exhibit was part of Museum on
Main Street project- a partnership of the Smithsonian Institution and
Humanities Tennessee. This exhibit
was a
history of food in America and how it has changed over the years. Included
are the production, processing, delivery, preparation and enjoyment of food.
What we eat defines us and our local area. Food brings us together as
communities and families. Explore the two ingredients that are key to
American cuisine – regional traditions and international influences.
